Introduction
The Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau’s DOPAMS platform handles decades of intricate crime data — tens of thousands of cases, FIRs, and networks. Sifting through all that shouldn’t require a degree in database design. That’s why ToyStack built a Visual Query Builder.
This feature turns complex data exploration into an intuitive, no-code experience. Users can drag, drop, and connect filters visually to build custom searches without writing a single SQL query. Behind that clean interface, the system translates user intent into structured database queries that can traverse linked records — suspects, cases, FIRs, and criminal networks.

How We Built It:
At the heart of DOPAMS lies ToyStack’s proprietary DB Analyzer, a custom-built data orchestration engine that unifies disparate datasets into a centralized data lake. This engine automatically detects schema variations, indexes relationships, and exposes them to the visual query builder via secure APIs. Using graph query capabilities and optimized caching, the builder converts user-defined filters into high-performance queries without sacrificing speed or accuracy. This architecture allows analysts to uncover hidden criminal connections across decades of records in seconds.
What once took analysts hours now takes minutes. Instead of remembering field names or syntax, officers can focus on spotting patterns and connections.
With this feature, ToyStack made advanced analytics feel simple — a design principle that transforms raw data into usable intelligence for those on the front lines.
